Siemens Company Overview:
Siemens cellular telephones were very early mobile phones, produced by Siemens AG. The company created the first phone with a colour screen, (the S10, with 4 different colours - red, green, blue and white - that could be displayed), the first "outdoor" phone (the S10 Active, with enhanced shock, dust and splash protection), the first slider phone (the SL10), the first phone with real GPS support (the SXG75) and probably the first phone with an MP3 player and external memory card support (MultiMediaCard) (Siemens SL45). In 2005 the Taiwanese company BenQ acquired the financially bleeding mobile phone subsidiary from Siemens and gained the exclusive right to use Siemens trademark for 5 years.

The Siemens SL45 includes an MP3 player.

Video and Picture Taking:
The Siemens SL45 is not equipped with a camera or a video recording function.

Messaging and Internet:
The Siemens SL45 is capable of surfing the Internet with the built in browser of the phone. Unfortunately, there is no MMS capability. On top of sending messages, the Siemens SL45 is equipped with intelligent t9 typing, which allows you to easily type text messages without pressing each key upto 4 times for the correct letter.

The Siemens SL45 comes fully equipped with a WAP browser, and additionally an HTML browser for normal web page surfing.. including support for java.

Connectivity and Interactivity: With the SL45, you can use Bluetooth, Infrared, or a USB cable to connect to and interact with other devices. There is also a memory card slot for the MMC.

The phone is equipped with , voice commands , sound recording , 32 plus 32 MB of MMC.
